Elevation 77 believes that land, labor, capital, and technology can be combined to form sustainable communities if the vision is to improve the quality of life rather than simply to create short-termed profits through irresponsible development. In our view, a holistic approach to quality of life considers access to nearby services, markets, and workplaces. It includes living nearby public transportation, which integrates with a pedestrian or bicycle-friendly lifestyle. We believe in creating water and space efficient developments that minimize the built-footprint, use of drought tolerant indigenous species for landscaping, minimizing use of sawn lumber, maximizing green building products and energy efficiency.
We unearth the buried value lying fallow in many of our disused, distressed, abandoned, or under-utilized real estate assets. We exhume latent value by remedying past environmental issues, and by creating sustainable and smart engineering and architectural solutions. We believe it is the responsibility of our generation to transform once forgotten properties into revitalized, productive, user-centric communities suited for 21st Century America.
Though our focus is on brownfields development, our vision for the New Urbanism & Responsible Development extends well beyond brownfields. Whether a property is a traditional development project, an urban infill project, or an actual brownfield project, we strive to create communities that minimize waste, maximize long-term health & sustainability through thoughtful design and risk mitigation, and leverage transportation assets by creating pedestrian and bicycle friendly infrastructure that link our developments to adjacent communities, workplaces, recreation.
