Our over-arching philosophy is to work with the regulatory agencies and the local community to achieve a level of site cleanup that is protective to human health and the environment.
We believe that the long-term protection to human health and the environment is best evaluated using existing, promulgated cleanup standards and, alternatively, using traditional site-specific Risk Assessment modeling methods. Additionally, ingenious site management techniques may sometimes be appropriate to allow development to proceed in a protective and financially viable way. These may include capping, vapor barriers, and appropriate use of other physical restrictions/land use restrictions.
We acquire and leverage several various types of insurance instruments to ensure short term (during remedy) and long-term (residual) liabilities are managed in a thoughtful, progressive way.
